StreetEasy

I spent the summer of 2016 with StreetEasy in New York City. StreetEasy is the most popular resource for those looking to rent or buy an apartment in New York. As an intern, I worked closely with data scientists and marketing to develop engaging visual narratives based on data about New York real estate.

Changing Grid

Changing Grid is a series of posts investigating the impact of new developments and construction on prices of properties in different New York neighborhoods.

The first post is about the construction of the High Line and the appreciation of prices in the surrounding Chelsea neighborhood, while the rest of the posts are scheduled to be published in coming months. The graphics consist of a graphic showing the prices of new developments around the High Line, a contextual map about the construction of the High Line, and an interactive Tableau map showing notable buildings in the area.

Naked Apartments Emails

StreetEasy shares an office with Zillow and Naked Apartments, so I had the chance to meet and work with the developers there.

Welcome emails

I developed a series of welcome emails for Naked Apartments, who we shared the office with. I began by designing a responsive email template that could be used for future marketing emails from Naked Apartments so their emails could have a consistent design, then created illustrations for each email in the welcome series.
