Started with looking at artwork created by young people and other pieces that creatively investigate coming of age
Created a cohesive style guide
Talked to people about Velkro’s intentions to which we received feedback and suggestions
Facilitated workshops to test how people answered the cards and what discussion derived from them
We debated what to do on our next step. Should we go towards a curated experience or a more tangible product people could buy?
Started an instagram with animated questions that encouraged people to send us their own answers
Produced merchandise to physically represent the brand and possibly start conversations outside the origin
Considered creating a pop-up space to explore Velkro outdoors
Hosted a dinner party to see how questions could be posed in a more comfortable and inviting setting
We did both! We created the kits and filmed them in use showing that anyone can learn about themselves through using hard or new velkro.
